The brake wear sensors have to be replaced as well. They are 1 time use, and are stocked at the dealer.
Last time I bought them it was $8.64 each.

I processed what you wrote all wrong.
The wheel speed sensor was likely damaged, unplugged, or the connector become dirty during the brake job. Common mistake, just next time hang the calipers from the springs to avoid stretching electrical wires.
Replace both sides if they were both hanging from the vehicle.
Not sure of the cost on those, but they are generally not killer expensive.
A scan tool can alert you to which wheel speed sensor is bad, if you don't want to pay for both.
