I'm trying to replace the factory radio with a new cd player stereo coz the factory installed radio is not working anymore. I need to figure out the wiring from the existing to the new..the new radio only has wire connections for power, standby, speakers, & power antenna & when I wired it, it turns on and evvrything but doesn't give out sound. Somebdy told me I have to wire the amp...if that's so where is the amp wires & where do I hook it up to in the new player. Need help...thanks

TRUST ME! If you have not installed a stereo before then a Mercedes is not a good learning tool. Take it to a stereo installer and let them do it. If you damage the computer by splicing into the wrong wires it could cost thousands to repair. I've seen three VWs done incorrectly that needed new $1,400 ECUs and wiring harness repairs. It's not worth it.
