what is the brains of the mercedes???

to replace it does it have to b new ,or can u use ecm from like vehicle???

I believe it could be a used unit, but it has to be coded / configured to the vehicle, which requires the SDS computer. Better to find a shop near you who has the SDS and let them do the replacement and programming. Zee
