When cool the oil level check is ok, but when warm the light comes on and says too full. Is it ok to drive and what is the cause?

check level hot.check oil for contamination.check oil psi with a manual gauge.you may just need a sending unit.
Oil does expand when hot, Maybe your just a little over full. Check oil lever when hot, maybe have your oil change guy draw out a half quart & test.
