Driver side key just turning in the hole and cant open or close

Hello, There is a rod that connects the door lock cylinder to the door lock actuator. It is no longer connected. The reason the key has to stop when you turn it is because the rod can only move so far. repairing the issue will be difficult because you will have to remove the door panel without damaging the 25 year old soft interior panel. It is complicated by the fact that it must be done with the door closed, blocking all the access points. In short, you can remove any components from the interior door panel to look for a way in, but there this may require damaging other components to access the lock. I suggest contacting a European auto specialist who has been around the industry for a while. There may be a point of entry I'm not aware of.
