When i idle my Benz runs hot..near 120. If I keep moving it's fine.

A week ago I was sitting in Times Square and POOF!! Smoke, anti-freeze all spilled out of the hood. Horrible. Some Austrians yelled, "we know mercedes, we will help you!". They screwed the hose back together that came apart during the "explosion" replaced the anti-freeze with water and i was on my way. Took it to a mechanic the next day and they said a screw was loose underneath the car or something. I can drive it but it still runs hot when I idle for a long time. This usually in traffic in NYC. Something is not cooling the engine. right? Fan maybe?

I guess the engine's temperature was okay, while traveling, since you only mentioned hot while idleing. Then, you may be right about the Fan or Fans, not working. If I remember correctly there are two fans or even three fans: one fan from engine's crankshaft behind the radiator, another fan in front of radiator for Air-conditoner's condensor. You can check them by idling the engine, open the hood and look at the behind fan, it should turn on before 100 mark on temperature gauge. Then, turn on your Air-conditioner and check if the front fan turn on. If either not working, you need to take to a good mechanics soon, this can damage your engine from overheat!!!
