What is your question?
After going thru the diagnostics I got from this site,(as far as I could) I took the car to a garage that has a breakout box.(Needed to test the TPS) The new replacement I bought from NAPA was reporting the wrong voltage at idle. The theory is, its not the correct application. A Mazda Factoy one has been ordered. We'll see what evolves. Any comments greatly appreciated. Thought it was worth posting for others to digest. Chris

When I answer questions for Emissions or Engine Management related problems, I ALWAYS recommend factory parts. here is an article that I wrote on TPS replacement. https://repairpal.com/estimator/throttle-position-sensor-replacement-cost look under best practices, I recommend OEM i.e factory parts
I absolutely agree with Dan on the OE parts when it comes to Power Train Management. Zee
Can't really build a final consensus until the new part comes in. If its been the problem here, at the very least, I'm going to press NAPA for some information regarding their parts. Sometimes, aftermarket is the only place a part is available. And I would think they would want to correct the situation if the part doesn't work in the application. It certainly won't help their business if they don't. But like I said, we'll see what evolves. Thanks for the comments, it all helps. Chris
