warm-up engine to normal running temperature, place collection pan under oil drain plug area, Unscrew oil drain plug from oil pan I suggest wearing a heavy rubber glove, oil will be hot, make sure there is a pan for the old oil to collect in, when oil is done draining unscrew oil filter and remove, rub a thin layer of oil on the new filter gasket, screw on good and hand tight as you can, or use a oil filter wrench but do not tighten too much. Put oil plug and tighten back in oil pan, remove oil fill cap From top of valve cover, refill with no more than 4 to 5 quarts of oil of your choice, check after 3 quarts of oil to see what your level is , do not ever want to overfill , The type of oil Depends on the climate you live in. If you live in cold climate where you have freezing temperatures you are good to go with a 5-30 weight oil, or if you live in a hot climates you would be better off with a 10-30 or 10-40 weight oil and do not forget to replace oil cap. On top of valve cover as well.
