My Engine light just came on

It's only been on since this morning and it isn't flashing, it's staying on. It only has less than 15,000 miles. What could this mean? It seems to run fine.

codes need to be scanned and posted so we can adv. aamco or auto zone will scan for free

Ok, took it by Auto Zone and they scanned it, got code P0455 and their definition is as follows: EVAP control system leak detected - large leak Probable cause: 1. Faulty fuel cap 2. Canister faulty 3. Purge valve solenoid faulty 4. Damaged/leaking EVAP hose 6. Faulty EVAP leak detection pump My brother looked at the cap and said there was nothing wrong with it. Could it still be a problem if there are no visible defects?
