What is your question?
The engine jumps, or coughs, when driving or idling, after it gets warm, but not when cold or cool. If I accelerate it doesn't jump. While this van was making bitches out of previous mechanics, the "Check Engine" light would come on periodically, and every time I took it to a bitch mechanic, they changed the O2 sensor. The expensive one on bank two. I think it was sensor 1. Anyway, it was the one that cost upwards to $120 generic and nearly $200 stock. After replacing it twice, and the dealer recommending replacing it a third time, I decided they didn't know what they were doing, and just put up with it. The jumping didn't happen much, except when starting it warm, putting it in reverse, and just coasting back, out of the parking space. But if I gave it gas, it stopped. Also, it would do it while driving, once in a while, back when the "Check Engine" light was still coming on, but if I parked it, turned off the engine, and then restarted it, the jumping would go away. Not anymore.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It's worse when the engine is warm.
How long has your 2005 Mazda MPV had this problem?
3 years overall, but the "Check Engine" light went out 2 weeks ago and the jumping got worse.
