I would make sure that the fans are working and then perform a block test. A block test used the blue chemical. what we what to do is make sure there is no exhaust gas in the cooling system. If there is exhaust gas in the cooling system the chemical would turn green or yellow. If this is the case, do not spend money on any thing else, you have head gasket problems.
