I shoot start fluid in the air intake, filter etc... removed, runs like a champ. sounds great. It turns over runs for a sec and shuts off unless I shoot start fluid in the intake, it will keep running if I stand there. I'm thinking fuel pump. All the fuses are good, I have 100,762 miles on it. Bought from my mom, my dad has stage 7 dementia-Alzheimer's. The info file he had, has no fuel pump ever put in. Is there anything I may be missing??? thx so much for taking the time to help. most likely fuel pump.needs to have fuel pressure test.you canged fuel filter,is flow arrow towards engine?if you turn key to on,and dont here the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds,its not gonna start.you can try to tap the bottom of the fuel tank with a rubber mallet while someone tries to start,if it starts,most likely pump is going or gone.
