obviously its running rich, is it carb. or injected

The original fuel injection it came with. The car runs great but it seems to use a lot of gas.

All Miatas are fuel injected, it could be so many things, bad fuel injector, bad fuel pressure regulator, ignition failure allowing gas into the cylinder but no spark to light it!. Does it idle smoothly? Get it checked out or it could damage the cat. converter.

One question here was whether the car is carbed or fuel injected? Then I get a responce that tells me they all fuel injected. I say the car runs fine, then I get a responce that says maybe its not sparking. The best one is to tell me to get it checked out, could cause damage to the converter. DAAAAAAAAAAa Thats why I came here to begin with. This site sucks big time. What a bunch of dunces.

WELL GOOD LUCK YOU SEEM TO KNOW MORE THAN US. HAVE FUN THROWING PARTS AT IT. HOPE YOU SPEND ALOT OF $ AND GET NOWHERE.THERE ARE ALOT OF PROBLEMS THAT CAN CAUSE THIS AND YOU EXPECT US TO TELL YOU WHATS WRONG BASED ON WHAT YOU KNOW WHICH IS VERY ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
