Should I install aftermarket transmission cooler on my 2009 CX9 GT AWD? Towing travel trailer (2600 lbs) from OH to WA with two adults and an infant!
What makes this problem better or worse?

Do you know if your vehicle has the "towing package"? In general your CX-9 was not meant and is not built to tow. If you have no towing package, your tow capacity is 2,000 pounds - meaning less than you need. If you do have the towing package, it's 3,500 pounds. But that's unladen weight. I think you're at or above the limit and do not advise to try and tow with your CX-9. Regardless of cooler. You will damage your car.
