How do I set the timing on a 1996 Mazda pickup, B2300 4 cylinder

There are marks on the cog belt wheels. You first start with the engine cyl # 1 at TDC and go from there. It is well described, and illustrated in the Haynes manual for the Ford Ranger/Mazda Pick Up.
