my truck wont start, i replaced distributor cap and rotor, when coil wire is in the distributor it wont start, but held out to see or hear spark, the engine wants to start but dont. its a 1989 mazda B2200, 4 cylinder.spark plugs and wires were new 4 months ago.
How long has your 1990 Mazda B2200 had this problem?

Hello, This sounds most like a bad ignition coil. Testing the coil is pretty simple, and there are a couple ways to do it. I recommend using youtube to pin down the method you are most comfortable and equipped for, and giving it a shot. If the coil is weak, you will still get a jump from the ignition coil to the wire, but it may not be sufficient to fire a spark plug. Especially if there is no dielectric grease between the plugs and wires, and especially if the spark plug boots are oil soaked.
