Likley low coolant or air pocket, some engines are prone to air locking. Have checked for coolant leaks, find a shop with a air lift system. Air lift puts the system under a vacuum before refilling. Do this before damaging engine the mazda 2.5 will not take repeated overheating. Also some of these engine have two radiator caps and if they are mixed up engine will overheat.
