Removing and replacing front wheel bearings on 1986 mazda 626 without slidehammer but have removal set

I have removal set but no slide hammer to remove and replace front driver side wheel bearings what can i do to fix it

What makes this problem better or worse?

Need to remove and replace bearing and its a 1986 mazda 626

How long has your 1990 Mazda 626 had this problem?
