What is your question?
I have a Mazda 5 2012 Touring with almost 130,000 miles on it. Should I be having the transmission fluid changed? ( Going by the car's manual, I do not see the place where to check the transmission fluid, and it doesn't seem to mention it in the Schedule Maintenance chart.) Thanks Jim

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Congrats on making it to 130K! I bet you have 130 more! Keeping up with maintenance is super important and good for you to be on top of it! Given the mileage of your Mazda 5 and the importance of transmission fluid maintenance, it's generally recommended to have the transmission fluid changed although it's not explicitly mentioned in the manual, it does say to check the level twice a year. When you or a tech checks the level, the condition of the fluid can be determined. It should be clear and not dark. It's also should not smell burnt.
