Will you get a notification if you have exhaust issues?

What is your question?

I've been driving on the highway the last couple of days and have noticed that no one drives close behind me. When I checked the under carriage i noticed that it looked like a rusty color on the exhaust area. My question is since the car seems to be driving normal and I'm not getting any indicator lights will everything be fine? I took a picture of it and someone suggested that maybe the converter may be clogged. I don't know if I should be worried about it.
