So i broke the switch to turn it from cold to hot on my dash what would.i have to replace?

I was going to turn my cars temperature from air conditioning to heater and the switch got stuck so I pushed it down and it hasn't worked ever since what part would I need to get to fix it?

What makes this problem better or worse?

It's worse when the engine is cold
