Head light shocked and wires Melted, what is the cost for repair

Can’t determine without discovering what caused the problem first.

For years, the headlight switch can be susceptible to overheating -- assuming you are saying the switch is inoperative and the wires behind it are melted. Replace switch and connector if so. If not, circuit testing is required to find out more of what's going on.
