Bout a month ago I began experiencing a bad shutter when driving, I was almost CERTAIN was gonna be somethin w/the trans. since it ONLY happens @high RPM just before or right as it shifts.
However, after posting the issue here, 1 reply was leading me to an ignition issue, I think was what he said...something like misfire can cause a similar shutter that may be mistaken for a trany prob...?
To be honest I felt he was mistaken, just 1 of the times I had a gut feeling bout what I felt it is & choose to be thick & not listen to some1 more experienced.
I think this was likely the correct diagnosis to begin w/since now whenever I come to a stop it spits, sputters & died once. If the original diagnosis was right can any1 tell me what I should get to work on to go bout fixing the issue or is it something too serious 4 a novice DIY mechanic? Any info/help I'd greatly appreciate.

I have to agree with the previous suggestion you received stating an engine misfire can mimic a transmission problem ... That is certainly a proven fact!

Lol I understand your much more qualified for the troubleshooting title & I apologise if my gut bumped a sensitive nerve for you I didn't mean anything by it...I'm far from anything you'd call certified w/regards to Auto mechanic work but you can say I have a significant amount of, "DIY'er &/or too Jewish to pay anyone to do something they can do or learn to do themselves" blood flowing in my veins considering my father, & grandfather never paid a mechanic to work on any of they're trucks & they were life long pumpers that drove lease roads 365days a yr so you can say they did more than frequently change their oil... However in my case I'd gladly pay someone to fix my ride if I made the money they did.... I've got the work ability but non of the Jewish traits...& Unfortunately I make just enough to keep a roof over our heads and just enough food that I'm only hungry sometimes... so you see that's why I cruise these Q&A/Troubleshooting auto forums in instances where I'm needing to accomplish something that I'm not quite familiar with or have yet to even try. Meant no disrespect with what my gut & I discussed.
