If I maintain accelaration through the next gear I can throttle down without it losing all throttle. And when it does lose throttle to regain it all I have to do is slow down to first gear and it regains throttle again. Also there seems to be an abnormal amount of warm air coming through the defrost vents that leaves a film on the windshield inside the car. I checked the code the service engine light was kicking back and it was P0401 and piston #2 & #5 misfires. I replaced the EGR Valve but nothing changed for the better or worse.

Suspect failing ignition coils on cylinders 2 & 5 (there are 8 coils) .. Suspect heater core failure coating windshield with steam/antifreeze film... PO401 needs further testing .. Recommend visit local auto repair shop : https://repairpal.com/repair-shops
Thanks for the quick response

Ok so I changed the spark plugs with the gap @ .054 on both of them. Changed the ignition coils too. Car ran perfectly for about 40 miles then started doing it again. No check engine light came on though so not sure which piston is misfiring though. There were no signs of oil on the coil boots and the intake manifold was in perfect condition. Not sure where to go from here. Any ideas?
