Today, as I slid and stepped from my car, I got several electrical shocks. Is this dangerous? How can I fix the problem?

OK thanks. I never thought it could be my shoes or plain old static. I was worried I would be electrocuted.
I DON'T BELIEVE SO, YOUR CAR DOES STORE ALOT OF VOLTAGE BUT THATS IN THE IGNITION SYSTEM. THESE ARE CARS THOUGH YOU NEVER KNOW.
