What is your question?
I replaced the battery to a limo Lincoln town car. Replaced it in the parking lot of O'Reilly auto parts. they matched the battery to the one that was replaced. I drove it home. Car was fine. I tried to start it this afternoon and car would not crank. Smoke came from under hood. 2 lead cables lead off of battery and the one which follows bellow the block was fried fused and split.
I'm sure that is what happened. I believe some where between the starter and battery the cable chafed causing the short. I would love to do the work myself but I haven't the ability to trace and deduce the exact origin where it chafed, additionally there was damage caused to other wiring. The extent of damage is unsure and without the right equipment just isn't fun, so, I'll need a local mechanic to hit me pretty good. It could have been much worse it was truly a small miracle it happened at home. Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate your response.
