2013 Lincoln Navigator ignition key will not release from the ignition

Do you have a diagnostic tool that can show what the shift lever position is in - regardless of what the shift lever says? It's possible it looks like "park" when the sensor that shows shift lever does not show "park". That's the most likely cause of the key not releasing when it otherwise seems like it should. A diagnostic tool is needed to monitor component operation to contribute to needed testing.
