What is your question?
My lincoln navigator 2011 is not starting! I took it to the dealer for maintenance and they said that they need to program it to know the problem! And to program it they need the spare key! I went to them and they said yes without the spare key can't do anything!!!!!!!!!!!!

you said that your vehicle is not starting and you took it to the dealer for maintenance? did you tow it to the dealer? then you stated>they said that they need to program it to know the problem? did they diagnose the problem with a scan tool? what are they reprogramming and why? this makes no since.
Actually I shifted by Recovery because it’s not starting! All dashboard is working, tried to jumpstart even. It’s not cranking. They said they want to program it to know the problem! That’s why they asked me for the spare key. I’m actually not satisfied. So before I do anything I want to know why they want to program it? Is it necessary? And both keys should be there to program it?!
The thing I don't get is that they have a Ford scan tool that they can pull all the info they need from your PCM! Unless they somehow cleared the memory from your PCM and now they have to re-program your computer to original factory specs and yes they would need both keys.i would ask them why they need to re-program it.
I asked them why you want to program it? They said: to find out the problem! It’s weird actually! What I know is check the car first, check the system, instruments, ets. Then decide to program it. Anyways tomorrow they will call me back.
good luck with it.
Thanks
