Hello, If you turned off the suspension, that should be sufficient. However, that does not mean the wheel should stay entirely contracted. It just means that once you set the vehicle back down on the wheels, it will not be compromised. There is a large amount of travel in each wheel of the suspension, and you may just not have the proper lifting equipment to fix your vehicle.
