running boards problems

There is more than one service bulletin that pertains to the power retractable running boards. However, none of them address self activation when driving. The two thoughts I have - one...the boards are getting restricted on their way back to the retracted position and bounce back and forth. This can be due to binding retractor motor mechanisms. There is a bulletin for this. Two...you could have a door ajar switch issue, causing the module to think a door is open and the boards to deploy. Good luck...
