Mirrors will not go back into place on doors after car is unlocked

Are you speaking of the mirror glass? These may be settings based off of "Memory" or by the function to tilt them down in reverse. It's hard to say without having hands on and trying different settings. If it's a problem with a control module, that will have to be diagnosed with a high end diagnostic tool capable of monitoring body components.
