What is your question?
not all the time ,inadvertently - when accelerating from a stop there is a metal clanking or clunking noise - somewhat loud that seems when goes to next gear stops/ since it is only during acceleration my guess was is transmission but what? its a front wheel car so no traditional driveshaft a rear wheel noise may come from u-joint so have no clue
What makes this problem better or worse?
maybe prevelant when initally starting but not sure, when turning right and accelersting its happen and then again
How long has your 2016 Lincoln MKX had this problem?
months

What about engine mounts? Suspension mounts? Anything that causes more force and pressure on the drive train and the shift of weight in the vehicle is where to look. It would be highly unlikely that an internal engine or transmission component could make that kind of noise without other mechanical problems readily present. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
