Back sensors do not alert when someone walks behind car when in reverse

Seek guidance of your local Lincoln dealership service department. I'm not terribly sure of the sensitivity of the back up sensors, but they can certainly verify proper operation or troubleshoot accordingly...especially while your Lincoln is underneath its 4 year / 50,000 mile warranty.
