Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sorry to hear you are having issues with your 2009 Lincoln MKX. The fact that the CV axle failed so soon after being replaced is definitely cause for concern, and something that should be covered under warranty at a reputable shop. Either there is something else that is wrong with the vehicle that is causing the premature failure, or the part itself was faulty, or potentially the wrong part was installed. It is worth pressing the issue with the shop that did the work. If it is a RepairPal Certified shop, please give us a call and we can look into it. If it is not a RepairPal shop, then it might be worth taking to a second mechanic for a second opinion and information to be able to address the original shop with to support your claims that it should be covered.
