Why do brakes seem to lock up?

What is your question?

The car brakes seem to lock. Wheels get red hot. Vehicle will go from 60 mph to nearly nothing when accelerator is let up on. Doesn’t do it all the time. Last time the car started vibrating badly, wheels red hot and decreased power. After sitting for hours, it drives ok again. All new brake system, new brake booster and two switches of some kind installed.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Seems to act up after driving 20 or more miles

How long has your 2007 Lincoln MKX had this problem?
