How to get the wireless software upgraded

Hello, sounds like you may have an issue with the key fob itself. Make sure it has a fresh battery in it (they do fail, causing operation and reception issues). Testing may be required with a Ford IDS diagnostic tool or suitable equivalent to see what is happening with they keyless entry system and key fob.
