Is it true that the high voltage low beam head lamp cannot be replaced? If so, where could I find a different custom made head light assembly?

Go to this web site for Lincoln STUFF and there is instruction on how to convert that expensive HID to regular halogen bulbs, BOTH SIDES for about $60.00 I did it to my car and it is quite easy and the results are GREAT!! http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00254.html
These bulbs are obsolete now and the conversion kit is $600 to $ 700 dollars but I see a conversion kit on Ebay for $289 plus shipping. The bulbs used sell for $200 on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lincoln-MARK-VIII-8-HID-headlight-replacement-kit-NIB_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1171Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a0Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem250367363658QQitemZ250367363658QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
Here is another excellent Mark VIII resource site www.lincolnvscadillac.com They have some extensive discussions about the replacement kits that are available.
I found an hid kit that replaces the original lights and is even brighter than the stock ones. the kit is $125.00, but I found the same kit for $80.00 on ebay. It replaces both your low beams to. It's not too hard to hook up with common repair skills.here's the main site to find these.www.xenonhidworlds.com/lights/home.php
