What is your question?
I was told the door ajar switches for both sides need replaced by the Lincoln tech, but not sure where they are located.

just get a can of wd-40 and spray where the door jam switch is,it's just stuck.you can see it,just spray where the door latch latches.you may see a little plunger in the door jam, just spray it,and unless the switch is bad,it should start working.open and close the doors a few times after spraying.the switches are less than $20.00 each if bad!
Try spraying a lubricant like wd40 in the inside door latches and that message will stop
no reply in 5 weeks!!!that's the way it goes on here!!!must have taken it to the DEALER,instead of a can of WD!!
Have tried WD40 2 or 3 times but still showing the door ajar light.
i was kidding, but we have to make little remarks like that sometimes to get folks to reply back, sorry!if it didn't free up the door ajar switch/switches with the wd-40,then i would say replace the door ajar switch/switches.like i said, less than 20 bucks each!
I understand and would have responded sooner but nobody has responded to my 1st question (where is the door ajar switch located?)
it's inside the door pane mounted to the door latch.remove the inside door panel, and you will see it.most likely it's the drivers side door, cause it's used more.if you sprayed a LOT of it,and opened and closed the door 15 or 20 times and it's still sticking, then it's maybe a bad switch. Mark VIII problem of the door ajar light going on. It is the switch, You can try to clean it or replace it.a new one is very easy to change. Door panel on Mark VIII has one screw and then lift up and switch turns and locks-in kind of like a twist bulb.
Thanks for that. I really appreciate it.
