What is your question?
When I crank my car it starts, no problem. When I hit the gas it's shuts down. It runs with no problem, and it stays on once I put it in gear but as soon as I hit the gas it shuts off. I drove it about 3 miles from where it was initially parked and it ran out of gas. I put close to a half tank of gas in it, still to no avail. Everything thing seems to be running just fine until I press the gas pedal. What is the issue most likely to be?
How long has your 2005 Lincoln LS had this problem?

It's really impossible to know until utilizing a diagnostic tool that can monitor data, measuring fuel pressure at the fuel rail, checking for air intake leaks or vacuum leaks -- all things that must be done hands on. You could have an electronic throttle body concern, a fuel delivery issue, a vacuum leak. Far too difficult to know without going through some test procedures and using a proper diagnostic tool that can monitor component data.
