2005 Lincoln Navigator battery and Check charging system came on, won't start

For a Lincoln Navigator -- and every other vehicle with this concern -- a check charging system light means just that. There is an issue with the charging system. Ensure the drive belt is still intact, driving the alternator. Have the battery fully charged and then check the charging system for operation. Gut feeling would be a problem with the alternator. Testing is needed, though, to confirm.
