I understand this code relates to Ignition Coil B malfunction. I assume further 'scoping' is necessary to determine *which* coil is misfiring. Correct? And are all of the coils the same? Does the Motorcraft DG529 coil fit any of the plugs?

I believe this engine is similar/developed with the S Type Jaguar which had loads of ignition coil failure and intermittent ignition coil failure but they are both coil over plug equipped coils so Coil B confuses me as coil B type codes are usually a code associated with coil pack or waste spark type ignitions. Try cross referencing the ignition coil number you have and look at the image of the coil on www.rockauto.com its the site I trust most for parts aplications and they have good illustrations/pictures of the parts.
