What is your question?
4.6 DOHC will start after sitting overnight and run 8~10 seconds then die. Will not restart (until next day). It will fire a little with the throttle wide open, but will not start. No stored or active codes. I replaced the plugs and fuel filter (it had a hole in it). Found bare wires going to mass air flow sensor and repaired. Found and repaired a hole in PCV elbow. The fact that it is not setting any codes under these conditions makes me think it's the PCM, but I don't want to spend that much money until I know for sure. Any ideas?

9 times out of 10 you need two parts on your ignition system. They are both part of your distributer and they both should be changed. One is on the outside thee other I believe is on the inside of the distributer. Sounds like ignition failure to me.
I am curious to know how it ran before the parts replacement and repair of the wires and PCV hose. Did this come on suddenly? Any recent repairs to the vehicle other than those listed above? How many mile and what is the general condition of the vehicle? These answers could help, but I will try to get you pointed in the right direction with the current info. First thing I would do is check for fuel pressure and volume, you could have a scenario where the initial turn of the key pressurizes the system, but then loses fuel pressure due to a loss of power to the fuel pump. Need to have 32psi,(reading can be taken at the schrader valve found on the fuel rail. Do you have spark reaching the spark plugs? If you have spark and fuel pressure, I would check the oil level and see if it is above the full mark, if so smell it to see if it smells like gasoline. If the oil is very thin, considerably over the full mark, you may have a condition where the engine was running under an over rich condition,(too much fuel being injected into the cylinders) this can wash away the lubrication from the piston rings, causing them to loose there seal and ability to maintain compression. These are the most basic checks. Lack of spark could be caused by a bad EEC power relay and many vehicles that same relay feeds power to the fuel pump, these relays have been known to cause occasional no starts. There are your first steps, Good luck.
