What is your question?
Recently, my car alarm has been going off involuntarily. Even on windy days and early morning hours which is becoming annoying. I took it to a local car repair and was I was told they could not find the problem. But it may cost thousands to check deeper into the electrical system for a possible solution. Can't the alarm system be disconnected? Thanks, Mycar2

I own 98 Lincoln had the same problem hear is the fix open door go to the center spray wd 40 lots do all the doors problem solved
Some vehicles have the ability to store the causes for the alarm going off. If this is the case, you can narrow down the scope of the diagnosis. This may be a problem that a good dealer tech would be familiar with.
My 2000 Continental also did this, The way I defeat the alarm is to manually push down the lock on the driver door after I auto lock the rest of the doors and unlock just the driver door with the key fob. also just manually locking all doors does the same thing
The most likely cause is the sensor under the hood. They get a short and then cause the alarm to go off for no reason. Open your hood and find the sensor on the Drivers side and disconnect. Lincolsonline.com has some info in their tech of forum.
I had this same problem. It was my trunk. They adjusted the trunk lock and that fixed it! Mine would go off after it sat for a while in the morning, when the sun came up and warmed the trunk just a little, it would go off.
