I priced all 32 at 240.00. What should my labor be and how long does it take.

Hello, Unfortunately, pricing internal engine repair is almost never accurate the first time, and parts cost is much lower than labor cost in these cases. Once access is achieved, which may take an hour or more, the technician still needs to take measurements to ensure the lifters have not worn the cylinder head. (If this is an overhead cam 4.6L V8). These engines have a bad time with oil starvation at the camshafts, and if wear is discovered, you may even need to replace or machine the cylinder head. This does happen sometimes. Best case scenario, the lifters get replaced, everything goes well, and you pay the shop for their hours. This repair will take a good tech about half a day to a day, but the cost of the job is fixed to the book-hours quoted by that shops reference materials.
