Hello, this vehicle has an automatic 5 speed transmission with no dipstick. As a result, fluid level is checked by removing the "fill" plug and checking fluid level right at the top of the plug. Adding fluid, which should only be needed if fluid has somehow leaked out, is accomplished by threading in a special service tool that allows injection of fluid. It's not really a user-friendly "do it at home" deal. I feel like you are best served taking your Aviator to a local shop near that can help you with checking and advising you about your transmission concern.
