The AC stwitches light and the fan blows but no cold air. One day it worked the next no cool only air. In automatic mode it bolws air like crazy but never cools so the auto system just keeps blowing. I was having a problem with the heater on the passenger side not working then it went back to normal. A few days later the ac stopped cooling then started agin. Now it seems to have quit for good. Does this sound like a control problem or a compressor failure?

Hard to tell but a shop that services AC systems could tell right away whats wrong and save you money if the system is just low on freon
mine had that problem, it was simple issue but figured it out after checking every ac part. it turnr out to be that 3 spark plaug coil packs were bad, changed them out and now back to normal....the engine misfires so the internal computer tells the AC to shut down to save engine power
