What is your question?
Recently purchased a 2008 SC 430 with 44k miles, one owner, reasonably well maintained. Just noticed dampness in the trunk and wondered if others have encountered this, know where the issue is and have a fix?

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. Leaking roofs in cars like your SC 430 can be caused by a few different things. Given the model, the most likely culprits could be seals around the convertible roof or the trunk area, which may have aged or become damaged. The water could be entering through worn seals, drainage channels that may be clogged, or even through the convertible top itself if the rubber seals aren’t sealing properly. Another possibility could be a faulty trunk seal. I recommend carefully inspecting these areas to see if any of them show signs of wear or deterioration. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
