My passenger side door will not open and window only goes down partially

Sounds like the actuator rod to the outside handle came loose. The rod his held in place by a cheap plastic clip wich breaks in time. Why they were not made of some form of metal, like alumimum, is beyond me. Had same problem with my 93' sc400 and had to take the door panel apart & pull back the moisture guard to get to the rod to put it back together.
