I dont drive the car in winter, bettery went dead, now charged, didn't remove battery to charge it. How to reset computer in order to have state e-test done. Happen last year, had to bring to Lexus dealer to reset, cost $250.00. I would like to avoid this very large bill this yesr. Heard I can do it myself, how can I reset the computer?

reset it to what? if you mean all the monitors are set to NOT READY,then there is no reset...you just need to drive it! battery should be charged with the cables unhooked with a battery charger.
Yes I did mean the computer is NOT READY and I heard there is a formula of removing a fuse for a time period reinstalling it and/or removing one of thr battery cables for a time period reinstalling it to get the computer to be READY state for the e-test. Another formula would be to drive the car for a set number of miles at different speeds for different time periods to put the computer back to the READY state for the e-test. My question is what is the formula to use for a 1998 Lexus SC300 and how can I be sure that the computer is reset to the READY state before I bring the car in for the NY State Insection?
couple days of normal driving.around town, interstate, stop and go,A/C on,A/C off,Heat on,Heat off,50-150 miles.you won't know if all monitors are set to ready, unless someone hooks up a code reader or scan tool. it will tell on it how many monitors are READY and how many are not ready or incomplete.
