What is your question?
My 2015 Lexus RX350 has started hesitating and stuttering when I push the start button to turn it on. I haven't had anything replaced recently. I do not know if its a battery going out issue or a problem with the starter. I wanted to see if anyone else encountered this or knew what the deal was. It never did this up until 2 weeks ago and now it does it every time I turn the car on. I might be wrong but I feel like it is gradually taking a little longer and longer before the car turns over. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated.

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The description "hesitating and stuttering" creates some questions for me since we are talking about pressing the start button - when pressing the start button, I would expect the starting system too start operating when conditions are present for it to do so, such as foot on the brake and shift lever in the park position. If it does not react right away, you could have a start / stop button issue, or a starting system issue. Have the engine's battery checked to see if it is fully charged and able to sustain a load properly. If all is good to this point, then next the battery cables should be checked to ensure they are clean and securely connected. The starter motor should be checked to ensure it is not drawing excessive power to engage. In each case, I would recommend a technician near you be engaged to see what is going on and try to troubleshoot what is happening. If the concern happens frequently and can be regularly duplicated, it should be relatively easy to find out what is causing it. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
